Authenticity & Acquisition

We authenticate every item through a multi-step process prior to acceptance or listing. 

This includes:

• Physical inspection of construction, materials, hardware, stamps and brand-specific markers
• Condition verification against our internal grading criteria
• Review of provenance where available
• Counterfeit risk screening using brand-specific indicators
• Independent third-party authentication where required

Items that do not meet our standards are not accepted.

All items sold by Elan Archive are covered by our Authenticity Guarantee.

If an item is proven inauthentic by a recognised independent authenticator, we will accept the return and issue a full refund in accordance with our returns policy.

We describe inclusions precisely. A “full set” may include:

• Brand box and dust bag
• Protective felt or packaging materials
• Care booklets or cards
• Straps or accessories originally supplied
• Receipt or proof of purchase (when provided by the client)

Each listing clearly states what is included. Not all items originally include a receipt, and authenticity is not dependent on documentation alone.

We prioritise transparency. Every listing includes:

• A clear condition grade
• High-resolution imagery, including close-ups
• Full disclosure of wear, restorations, spa treatments or replaced components

No alterations or treatments are concealed.
